Dear members and friends,
¡Saludos!
It’s Gala season! But, before getting into it, I want to take a moment to congratulate our very own MDHCC Board Member and President of the MDHCC’s Greater Baltimore Regional Chapter Corina Morga for being recognized not once, but twice this month. Her first recognition is being named a Baltimore Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree for the class of 2018. Also, she was recognized by The Daily Record as a 2018 Leading Women of the Year. These are monumental achievements that should be recognized and celebrated by all of us. Congratulations, Corina! Also, I want to congratulate our former Chairman and Board Director, Veronica Cool, for receiving the prestigious 2018 NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Awards. Congratulations, Vero! Very well deserved!
We are very happy to announce that due to public demand, we will be holding our 2019 Business Awards Holiday Gala at the Belvedere Hotel in downtown Baltimore again! The gala will take place on January 24th from 7-11 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer all night long, and a delicious 3-course dinner. Early bird tickets will go on sale soon so stay tuned to get yours!
Also, please mark your calendars for another MDHCC signature event: Our 19th Annual Minority Legislative Reception on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza from 7:00-9:00pm. We are improving and expanding our format to feature a pre-reception Legislative Advocacy Training hosted by our Government Affairs Committee Chair, Katie Nash, beginning at 4:00pm. Space for this special training is limited, so register early!
Lastly, if you, or someone you know, has unbendable ethics, vision, a desire to help without expecting returns to benefit you or your business directly, grit, perseverance and commitment to follow through with what you say you will do, then please send an email with a resume/CV and a letter of intent to info@mdhcc.org to be considered as a board member or for the leadership team of the Capital Area Regional Chapter.
Please have a wonderful and safe month of October and don’t forget to register for our events early as they have sold out in the past.
Onward!
