Jorge Drijas

Board member

Jorge Drijas is a Venezuelan Juris Doctor, educator, civic leader, and Project Manager at Assedo Consulting, where he leads infrastructure and community engagement initiatives across Maryland. With over a decade of experience in advocacy, diplomacy, and project management, Jorge has worked across sectors in both the U.S. and Latin America to drive social impact and empower communities.

His background includes leadership roles in electoral campaign, nonprofit and business development, and strategic planning. He spearheaded the Maryland expansion of the healthcare startup Fabric Health and coordinating operations for leadership programs at the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation. Jorge also served at the Embassy of Venezuela, supporting consular services and diaspora engagement.

A graduate of the Montgomery County Latino Leadership Series (MLU) through the Leadership, Strategy, and Innovation (LSI) Program, Jorge also holds a Project Management Professional Certificate (PMPC). Outside of work, he is an athlete and sports enthusiast who also enjoys reading about fintech, technology, and the economics in geopolitics.
