Marcela Burbano de Lara, a native of Quito, Ecuador, is a dynamic professional who currently serves as the Director of Guest Services at Live! Casino and Hotel Maryland. With a career deeply rooted in enhancing the guest experience, Marcela orchestrates the intricate workings of the casino's slot operations, the management of their loyalty program, and takes charge of an array of guest service-related responsibilities.

Marcela's unwavering commitment to excellence is guided by her steadfast belief that providing exceptional experiences for both guests and team members serves as not only a keystone within the entertainment industry but also as the bedrock for nurturing meaningful connections among colleagues and guests.

Beyond her contributions to the casino's operations, Marcela is deeply committed to making a positive impact on her community. She plays an active role in The Complete Player (TCP) Charity, an after-school program where she works one-on-one with students, helping them grow and learn.  Moreover, her Latin heritage fuels her passion for making a substantial impact on the Latin people who come to this country. Marcela is a member of the board of directors for the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she actively contributes to empowering and uplifting the Latin community.

Marcela's exceptional dedication and leadership have not gone unnoticed. She has earned nominations for Manager & Director of the Year, and she is also the proud recipient of the prestigious E! Excellence Award from The Cordish Companies.

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science Engineering, as well as certifications in Six Sigma, Retail Management, and Dale Carnegie Training.
