Patricia Mir
Patricia Mir is Chief Operating Officer of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MDHCC), where she oversees the organization's day-to-day operations and helps advance its mission of strengthening Maryland's Hispanic business community. A bilingual leader with more than two decades of experience in small businesses and nonprofits, she brings deep expertise in business development, IT professional services, operations, human resources, event coordination, community outreach, and project management.
Patricia's leadership at MDHCC builds on her earlier service as a Board Member, Chair of the Grants Committee, and volunteer for the website and systems update project. She also helped coordinate Annual Gala every year since 2023, and represented MDHCC at community events across the state.
Before becoming COO, Patricia served as Director of Business Development at EDSOL Communications LLC, beginning in 2018. She identified strategic opportunities, built partnerships, and led the development of business plans and technical proposals. Her work was central to EDSOL's growth strategy, helping the firm secure key contracts and numerous federal and state certifications. She also managed IT projects, client relationships, and project teams.
Earlier in her career, Patricia supported senior leadership as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Viper Security and to the CEO of Metalogix Software, and served as Office Manager at CVPath Institute, where she strengthened office operations, introduced new policies, and led employee onboarding. Her background also includes roles as PR and Media Specialist at Links Media and in marketing and public relations at Altronics Communications. Her commitment to the Hispanic business community dates back to 2006, when she served as Office Manager and Membership Relations Assistant at the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, coordinating logistics for more than 50 events a year.
Patricia holds a degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, and is fluent in English and Spanish. In October 2023, she received the Business Leader of the Year award at the 18th Maryland Hispanic Business Conference.
Outside of work, Patricia volunteers with local organizations serving low-income, homeless, and at-risk communities. She enjoys time with family, hiking, and ballroom dancing.
